The two most common problems that can arise when trying to login or setup a new user are trying to add an email address as a new user when they already have a login and not being able to receive email messages from the system. Here are some helpful hints regarding those issues:
If you are trying to add yourself as a new user but get a message that there is already a login for that user, then instead of adding a new user, choose “Login” and then “Forgot Password”, which will cause the system to send an email to your address with a link to reset your password.
If you don’t receive the Password Reset email, it is probably being blocked by your email system. Try looking in your Spam folder, and also try to “white list” the clemson.edu domain. In Outlook, you can right click on any email from Clemson and first choose “Block” and then “Never Block Sender’s Domain”. With Gmail if you find the email in your Spam folder, you can right click on it and select “Not Spam”. Your organization’s IT group may be able to “white list” the domain as well. After you have taken these steps, try “Forgot Password” again, and if the email still doesn’t get through send an email to fertreg@clemson.edu.
If the system does not accept a credit card that you know to be valid, it may be because the address you are entering does not match the billing address for the card. Please make sure that the address you are entering matches the billing address.
If a product that you have tried to add to the system shows up as “Pending Submission” instead of “Awaiting Approval”, it could be for one of two reasons. There is a button at the bottom of the new product screen for “Submit Product for Approval”. But you cannot use that button until you have uploaded a label for that product. So to fully submit the new product you need to both upload a label for the product and click on the “Submit Product for Approval” button at the bottom of the screen.
